White's boot last run large. This means most people should take a half size down from their natural shoe size, or Brannock measurement. On our highest arched lasts, a full size may be necessary as the arch support shortens the overall length of the foot during wear. Fit Guide

A Custom Style That Has Never Been Featured In Our Standard Collection.

The specifications of the Rose Anvil special combine the greatest qualities from our legacy models. The 4811 Last has been in service for more than 100 years. It’s the historical standard for every Pacific Northwest worker. The arch support has been tested against every working condition. It stabilizes the foot for optimal performance throughout the day. The 10-inch upper comes standard in many of our logger, firefighter, and lineman boots. It supports the ankle and protects the movement of the leg against harsh surroundings. The underslung heel — with its exact angle to the earth being perfected by Otto White — is meant to resist the repeated pounding from hard surfaces, and not just for walking, but standing.
10" Full Grain Water-Resistant Leather Upper
to absorb high impact.
Leather Midsole & Shank
for a custom fit and feel.
Vibram® Mini Lug Sole & Packer Heel
for heavy wear.
4811 Arch-Ease™ Last
with a high arch for optimal comfort.

Handsewn Stitchdown Construction

The hand-sewn stitchdown construction type is the lynchpin of our history, a process passed down from bootmaker to bootmaker since the beginning, way back in 1853. When hand-sewing a boot, our master bootmakers painstakingly last, welt, and bottom it by hand. Hand-lasting ensures a customized flt, hand-welting a durable and water-resistant seam, and hand bottoming an all-leather arch that becomes more comfortable by the day.

Buying a White's hand-sewn stitchdown boot is stepping into a long history of craft, dedication, and old-world quality that is increasingly rare, and enduringly valuable.
